WOWSA Announces Expansion to the Town of Hanover and a Great Line-up of Events to Inspire, Empower and Connect Women in Business

(Saugeen Region, ON) – WOWSA, the Women of Wellington Saugeen Area, is thrilled to announce the expansion of its women in business network to further inspire, empower and connect women in business in the County of Wellington and Saugeen River region in Ontario.

The group will begin hosting a rotating schedule of creative networking events in Hanover this fall, in addition to events in the Town of Minto and Mount Forest.

WOWSA will kick-off its 8th season in Hanover on September 21 with a Healthy Meal Planning & Prep workshop for busy women. The event will be led by Ellen Schmalz and a youth aid at LaunchPad Youth Activity and Technology Centre in Hanover. The official celebration will be held in October at our Women, Entrepreneurship and Risk event, where we will make a special announcement on a great opportunity for our growing network.

Additional events, talks and topics planned for the 2017/18 season include:
● October 2017: Women, Entrepreneurship and Risk
● November 2017: Women in Business Tradeshow
● January 2018: Financial Planning for Women
● February 2018: Escape the February Blues
● March 2018: Inspiring Local Women
● April 2018: Professional Headshot & Pampering Night
● May 2018: Tours of local businesses owned by women
● June 2018: Movie Night

Full event details and tickets are available on the WOWSA website: www.wowsa.ca.

WOWSA was established in September 2009 by eight women from Minto and Wellington North who came together believing that there was a place for a business network that supported women who run their own businesses or work in existing businesses.

Events are held September through June, and alternate between facilities in Harriston, Mount Forest and Hanover. There are no membership fees, however fees apply for each event. All women in business are welcome and participants are not obliged to attend all events.

With the latest exciting announcement of the expansion into Hanover, the network continues to grow and offer participants regional strength and the invaluable opportunity to bring together a wealth of expertise and education, while providing support, encouragement and motivation for women in business.
