Closure of Outdoor Recreational Amenities
In accordance with the Order issued by the Province of Ontario under the Emergency Management and Civic Protection Act to close all outdoor recreational amenities the Town of Hanover has closed all outdoor recreational amenities.
The order describes "outdoor recreational amenities" and includes the following:
- All outdoor playgrounds, play structures and equipment.
- All outdoor sports facilities, multi-use fields, including; baseball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis, platform tennis and pickleball courts, BMX and skate parks.
- Off-leash dog areas.
- All portions of park and recreational areas containing outdoor fitness equipment.
- All outdoor allotment gardens and community gardens.
- All outdoor picnic sites, benches and shelters in park and recreational areas.
Hanover's trail system remains open provided people are not congregating along any portion of the trail.
