Hanover Fire Department Receives Trillium ROOTS Funding

Trillium Mutual Insurance of Listowel is pleased to announce financial support in the amount of $4,000.00 to the Hanover Fire Department (HFD) through its ROOTS Community Fund.

 

The funding provided will be used to assist with the purchase of high angle rescue equipment which will allow the department to keep current with advances and ensure they are providing every opportunity to save lives in situations where time is of the essence.

 

Craig MacArthur, Deputy Chief of Hanover Fire Department advised that “the ROOTS Community Fund assistance is greatly appreciated.  The funding will assist HFD to provide quality equipment to its staff as they look to provide high angle rescue in an effort to save lives within the community.  With funding such as this, the department is able to keep current and maintain a high quality of service, while ensuring the safety of firefighters.”

 

The Trillium ROOTS Community Fund was established by Trillium Mutual Insurance Company in Listowel, to administer the company’s philanthropy program.   Through ROOTS, Trillium continues to provide meaningful financial assistance and support to rural communities in which its policyholder members live and serve.  The ROOTS Community Fund provides assistance with funding focusing on the areas of Healthcare, Recreation & Wellness, Emergency Response, Agricultural/Eco/Sustainability and Mental Health/CommunityResponse.   The next deadline date for applications is September 5, 2020.  More information about the ROOTS “Recognizing Our Opportunity To Support” Community Fund can be found at www.trilliummutual.com
