Things you should know about camp!
Camper Pick Up and Drop Off
Campers 10 years and younger MUST have adult supervision at all times during morning drop off and afternoon pick up. Please ensure that regular escorts and emergency contacts are recorded with your registration. Only those adults listed will be permitted to pick up your child(ren). Please notify us of any changes in your child’s pick up routine by calling 519.364.2310 x 2121. This is our safe arrival hotline. Children are NOT allowed to leave early without consent from a parent or guardian.
Ages
See specific camp description for ages. Participants must have turned the minimum age and not exceed the maximum age by December 31, 2023. Camp leaders will take age difference into account when programming activities. Our camp ratios offer a maximum of 1 leader to 10 to 12 participants.
Medical Information
Health and safety is our number one priority. Please ensure that we have up-to-date information about your child’s medical conditions including doctor’s name and an emergency contact that can be reached during the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm.
What to Bring
Parents will receive a “Parent Handbook” which outlines specific policies and details including what campers should bring.
Payment Plan
If registering for 2 or more weeks, a credit card payment plan may be utilized. Credit card payment for the first week registering must be processed on the date of registration. The remaining dollar amount will be processed on your credit card the week prior to the start of the program. (i.e. If registered for camp July 17 - 21, the payment will be processed July 10). Subsidy is available.

TSN (The Sports Nut)
A SPORT-atular week of activities for campers! Each day is jammed packed with sports, sports and more sports! Daily instruction and activities in basketball, soccer, floor hockey and flag football and daily swim will be offered. Participants will be divided into specific age groups. Fun will be the focus while developing one’s skills and game knowledge. About the Instructors: Jason Howes and Andrew Aitken are both educators with the Bluewater District School Board. Both are involved in school and community sports and players and coaches.

Silver Lake Outdoor Adventure Day Camp
A fun opportunity for campers to build relationships and learn new skills. This camp is a great introduction to outdoor skills including fire building, canoeing and hiking in a day camp setting. Campers will also get to participate in classic camp activities, including crafts, nature, games, and a Canoe Trip from Hanover Park to Saugeen Riverbank Campground. All initiatives are lead by qualified Silver Lake staff including NL certified lifeguards for water activities. Campers will be required to pass a swim test at the beginning of the week to participate in water related activities. About the Instructors: Silver Lake Outdoor Adventure Day Camp is an extension of Silver Lake Mennonite Camp, located in Sauble Beach. SLMC strives to provide an enjoyable setting where spiritual and personal growth are fostered and Christian values and teachings are emphasized. This occurs primarily during summer camp, outdoor education and retreats through community living, personal discovery, outdoor skills and environmental caring.

Momentum Volleyball Camp
Momentum Volleyball is here in Hanover! This volleyball camp is coached by some of the best coaches and athletes in the country! Campers play volleyball every day along with different games, training sessions and activities that help to develop a complete player. Home Alone Camp
An action-packed two-day program, that upon successful completion participants will receive their St. John Ambulance babysitting certificate. Jr. Hoops Camp
Have you got game? Jr. Hoops Camp is designed for girls and boys ages 9-13 and helps develop FUNdamental basketball skills. Learn how to dribble, shoot, pass, rebound, footwork and play defense with an emphasis on sportsmanship! Players of all levels can advance their skills. Help your young basketball player improve his or her game, meet new friends and have serious fun! All campers will receive a Jr. Hoops reversible Jersey and basketball. About the Instructors: John Mitchell and Jeff Ruttan have plenty of basketball experience. John is an elementary teacher at JDSS, while Jeff is a high school teacher at SHHS. John coached the JDSS junior boys and elementary basketball teams, while Jeff coached the senior SHHS basketball team. Both John & Jeff have experience playing and coaching experience at the club level. John also has experience as an assistant coach with Special Olympics basketball.

Camp Spark
Studio 410’s triple threat camp is coming to the Hanover stage! Study the art of performance, the building blocks of becoming a triple threat (singing | dancing | acting) and the power of being yourself! If you love singing, dancing, performing and being active, this is the perfect camp for you! Each day campers will hone their performance skills through exciting activities including: dance and vocal training, choreography, creation and development, team building activities, act it out group games and much more! About the Instructors: Studio 410’s Productions Inc. is a registered not-for-profit company that promotes engagement in the arts through education and performance experiences, with the aim of encouraging confidence and empowerment in young aspiring performers. Outdoor Adventurers at the OEC
Have fun this summer at the Bluewater Outdoor Education Centre! An exciting partnership with the Bluewater Outdoor Education Centre (OEC) located on the Bruce Peninsula will provide over 300 acres to explore and immerse in nature. Adventurers Summer Camp at the OEC is a chance to get out, learn new skills, explore new places, and make new friends. Campers will participate in activities such as hikes, nature study, introduction to Canoeing, outdoor games and sports and much more! Pick up and drop off location for camp will be at the Hanover P&H Centre and campers will be bussed to and from the OEC daily. Register early as space is limited.

Wild Encounters

Jr. Firefighter Camp
Ever wondered what it was like to be a firefighter? Come learn with Captain Rob Hagan and Firefighter Christina Schnell as we experience hands on activities of using portable fire extinguishers, hooking up hydrants, using hoses and rope rescue skills. We will also explore the world of firefighter tools, smoke/CO alarms and bunker gear. As well as some basic first aid, water rescue skills, home fire safety and escape planning. Add in some cooperative games, challenges and swimming for a complete week of fun and learning! We are confident it will be an unforgettable experience! All About Art Camp
Art camp offers so many great ways for campers to experiment, get active and get messy in the world of art! Campers will learn techniques and complete many fun, hands-on art projects including cartooning, outdoor drawings & artworks made with a variety of mediums. If you love creating or being creative, this is the camp for you!
About the Instructor: Makenzie Ermel is passionate about helping children embrace the joy of art. She is a local award-winning student, in her 3rd year of Fine Arts at Western University and is becoming well known for her drawings and paintings. Makenzie loves to inspire others to recognize that daily life is full of opportunities to be creative.
