The Town of Hanover’s first priority continues to be the health and safety of our residents, staff, and the visitors to our community. The Town continues to work closely with the Grey Bruce Health Unit, health professionals in Grey and Bruce County and our neighbouring municipalities to monitor and respond accordingly to the COVID-19 and the Omicron variant situation.

At this time, the Town will be closing its Civic Centre (341 10th Street) to the public as of 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 until further notice. The situation continues to be assessed daily and other decisions will be made as necessary.

Hanover Public Library will provide Curbside Pickup service - by appointment only. Service will be at specific times on weekday mornings and afternoons. Patrons must call to reserve items, arrange print services and make appointments, or do so online. Please call the library on 519.364.1420 or visit the website at hanoverlibrary.ca for our Curbside service hours and other details.

Municipal essential services, including police and fire services, road maintenance, water, wastewater, waste management, cemetery operations, and building inspections will continue as scheduled.

Payments can continue to be made to the Town through on-line banking, mail and by using the drop-off box located adjacent to the main doors of the Civic Centre. Please note that the December 30, 2021 due date for water bills has been extended to January 4, 2022.
