The Hanover Chamber of Commerce has been representing the businesses of Hanover and area since 1955 and continues to play an active role in promoting business and addressing the concerns of the business community of Hanover. Hanover Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet - We celebrated our Community on Wed March 23, 2016. The Chamber's Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet featured presentations for Hanover's 2015 Citizen of the Year Barbara Hicks, Lifetime Achievement for Community Service Award winner George Rahn, our Business Citizen of the Year Queen's Bush Pub, and the Youth Citizen Award went to Ashton Ahamad-Lawrence. Congratulations to our Volunteers! Nominations for the 2016 awards will be accepted in December.
Promotions: We are pleased to support and participate in several annual promotions, coordinated by our Community Improvement Partnership. This unique and successful partnership known as C.I.P. brings together the Chamber, the Hanover Downtown Improvement Area and the Town of Hanover. Together we collaborate for great buying power, giving members the best bang for their buck!
Plans for 2016 include ad sales for the Hanover Visitor Guide, Chamber/DIA Summer Radio Tags, Chamber/DIA Coupon Book, Cruisin' for Sights & Sounds Bike & Car Rally with Trade Show Spaces on June 4th, Sights and Sounds Festival Sponsorships, Chamber Golf Tournament Hole Sponsors and Auctions, our Hanover Holiday Shop & Win Promotion ...
Events: Chamber members are invited to join us throughout the year for Luncheon and Breakfast Meetings, Speaker Events and a Summer BBQ Social. We are pleased to announce we will have Chamber Members hosting 12 'Business After 4 Socials' during 2016. The Chamber Fashion Show 'Glow' will feature Chamber members behind the curtains, on the cat walk, and in the Vendor's Market on April 26th. Our spotlight event is our Annual Chamber Golf Tournament each September, bringing members out of the office and on to the green for some serious networking! Hawks' Nest: The Hanover Chamber is a proud member of the board for the Hawks' Nest Competition, to be held on June 21st. $25,000. is up for grabs under this Dragon's Den inspired competition featuring new business ideas in Grey, Bruce, Wellington North and Minto. Hanover Sights and Sounds Festival: Our 12th Annual Festival will run July 21-24, 2016 with new events as well as the returning favourites. Plans are well underway.
