Commissioner of Oaths

Commissioner of Oaths services are offered through the Town Clerk's Department between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm and include affidavits, oaths, statutory declarations and foreign pension documents. An appointment is recommended.

It is recommended that you contact the Municipal Office in advance of your visit to confirm that your document can be commissioned by the Commissioner of Oaths.

Documents involving out-of-province matters or real estate, wills or foreign jurisdiction require the services of a notary/solicitor. All travel letters require the services of a notary/solicitor. The Town does not provide Notary Public services. A list of Notary Publics and lawyers who notarize documents can be found through an internet search.

To arrange an appointment, or for further information, please email civic@hanover.ca or call 519.364.2780.
